what is so special about turkeys?I have almost 100 valley quail and dozens of rabbits(cotton tails) that hang out just under my living room window almost daily!I can but I don't have them for dinner cause I'm saving them.At least until-the election is overwith.Right now-I even have them named.They're called obama critters,and that's because they might be the only thing we have left to eat before that POS bankrupts this country! Nothing more special about turkeys than quail or rabbits. But quail are very rare here and the cotton tails are tiny compared to what we hunted in Michigan, Also, they don't come visiting like the turkeys and deer.

I reckon our turkeys roost low down as we dont have wolves/foxes/snakes/big cats or other nasties that will eat them
