Sorry guys it’s been a long time since I posted so here’s the latest update.
Work has been extremely hard over the last 2 years, I was put into a Custodial Managers role and that sucked big time - came very close to leaving the NZ Police ...... luckily it was a rotational position and I have just been rotated out into a new Operations Role which means I’m running Dogs, Team Policing, Spec Ops Sgt, Search and Rescue and Firearms licensing and loving it! Stuff I love and understand.
On top of that my wife went and got a contract job 2 hours away back in our old stomping grounds of Whakatane. She has a small unit at the beach which has meant lots of commuting for both of us. A very close friend was diagnosed with cancer and died last year in November this has had a profound affect on both of us but it was really good we could be there supporting her and her family.
So where to now.
Well wifee comes home on Friday 13th April - sure won’t be unlucky for me that’s for sure then 5 days later we are getting ona flight to Europe for 3 months backpacking - we have Eurail passes, a couple of nights sorted in Paris and Rome but apart from that we will follow our noses.
If any of you Brits or European Nuts want to meet up get back to me ASAP and I’ll ask permission from SWMBO. I’m planning on getting a European SIM card for my phone which will allow roaming and internet - that’s once we land at Heathrow on 19/04
Anyway that’s Plan ‘A’ Radar styles!

Have a great time in Europe mate. My daughter has done Europe a couple of times and now lives in London...for the immediate future...and she loved her travels over there. I have a mate who travels the European WWI battlefields with his wife, and like our daughter, they love every minute of their time there. They have even searched out family members graves in the War Graves sites.

As Elvis said...lots of pics, and both you and Nat have a great time bonding and rediscovering yourselves.

Going to Cassino on a bit of a pilgrimage both Grandfathers fought there Artillery and Infantry plus another 2 great uncles on my mother’s side.

I'm currently on the west side of the Pond & wont be back in the UK until April 25th.
If your travels bring you over the Channel then I recommend you spend a day or three up my way, as the English Lake District is some of the best scenery in the UK & a walkers' paradise (so long as it's not raining...).
