43 on the island is pretty low for having a cat 5 to cat 4 over the island for five days. From the looks of the island I was thinking 1000's. Vast stretches of slab foundations with nothing on them but water and a little debris. It doesn't look like the walls were bolted to the foundations either. They were apparently blown off the foundations and then tumbled to fragments of lumber.

43 is all they have found so far.
What the wind didnt take out looks like the storm surge did.
There will be a lot of people under all that rubble and debris, unfortunately.
