Well, I've heard of rim fire 44's and pin fire 45's, recon it's about time somebody tried a rim fire 9mm.

My first thought was that is stupid... then I looked closer and it is a Glock, so you can't be sure. Maybe they wanted to build a new revolver in a new caliber.

Paul, have a look at the 9 mm Flobert, a 9 mm rimfire that shoots shot and balls…
but no, we don't have a GP in 9 mm Flobert as once found in our state register, but they also had Mickey Mouse registered as owner of a pistol…


BTW: I once saw an italian made semi-auto 9 mm Flobert shotgun, I've even tried it on pigeons but my finger was to weak for that kind of trigger... (and I learned the hard way not to work on triggers of cheap semi-auto's.)

Plenty of them still around over here - called "garden guns" because they're so low powered they can be used safely in pretty small areas.

Here in the FLemish part of Belgium a lot of them went sadly into the oven as rimfire is not allowed for hunting and the use of lead shot is forbiden even for clay-shooting… but they are very nice old things and IMHO when you get your hands on a (French) Saint-Etienne it will surprise you with its performance.

Honestly that's as good, and accurate, as many of the headlines I see on "news" stories these days.

ammo is not scarce. Maybe in the States? Here have a look at Fiocchi and RWS...

on the other hand: lead-free ammo for the 9 mm Flobert is something I've never seen...
