You're right LOKE .... but tread lightly and carry a big stick . They're looking for any reason to shut us down .. they just took out A R - 15 , one of the largest sites on the net.

Some people shouted "change!" in the past... the change I see is that when you used to be unguilty till proven guilty has changed in "guilty till you yourselves can prove you're not guilty".

Good old George Orwell wrote a book on this... didn't you have to read Animal Farm when you were young? He proved that with some (sheep-)marketing "two legs bad, 4 legs good" can change in "4 legs good, 2 legs better"
When I see how politicians are handling their citizens nowadays it seems that we are all "children of a lesser God" to them... with an IQ of about the size of our shoes (and you may take the European number on shoesizes )
but as said: we are all just children of a lesser God and isn't it so that all people get the leaders they deserve?
And at the end we are happy that we can say a lot of things, complain, amuse ourselves and drink a beer, hoping all will be better tomorow.

Thanks everyone. I doubt we're in any danger of a shutdown. But I have some options others dont have i think... including spinning up a spare machine and running the website out of my house off a static IP.

I dont see any posts here I'd call problematic. Rarely we get a few "not safe for work" jokes that get moved to the moderator forum, but thats about as bad as it gets.

HuntingNut will continue to exist and be a fun meeting place for folk that want to visit.

I can see many things on the horizon for not just internet users, but also firearms owners and hunters in general. Then there is something I mentioned some time ago...”internal” problems for you guys.

What I can’t understand...well I think I do, it’s all about making more and more money...why your politicians aren’t forced to retire the same way everyday workers are. I firmly believe that once you reach a certain age, say late 60’s early 70’s, you should be required to retire from public office because your thought process is on the wane, and can not always see the big picture. Of course this isn’t the case with everybody, but it happens. We only need to look at the disgusting actions and verbal lambasting, aimed at POTUS, delivered by some elected officials in CA in recent times That is not a good thing when you have to make decisions affecting millions of people.
