Holy smoke she is persisting down...flooding all over the show...Bec's n I fine at this stage ,hopefully if waihi river comes over banks it will flow down streets and leave our houses alone.
we have seen flooding like this in last 10 years,but not as widespread ,we are basically surrounded/cut off.....oh well have fire cranking and I needed couple of days off to recover from hard couple of weeks at work.
tell you one thing....them 40 days and 40 nights must have been one hell of a show....

Damn...be safe mate and dont take any chances with flood waters as they are very unforgiving.

has been wind and odd drizzly shower all day,local river,waihi,has gone down again,still raging torrent that I wouldnt cross (and that is saying something) but has dropped down maybe 2 mtrs from where it was at peak flow last night...
the interesting/scary thing is looking on website with waterflows.... the little creek/rivers that are normally dry have flow as big if not bigger than our major rivers....
