Not sure what to make of it.
In Sydney, it has rained non-stop for over 2 weeks now, and these last few days we are getting up to 100mm a day.
My warehouse roof is leaking like a sieve and mold are growing all over the place.

I hope it would be dry soon.

Rain, Rain, go away! Sounds as bad or worse as the rain event a couple of years ago. Stay Safe, Down-under HuntingNuts.

Take a pic of all the leaks mate...that way you will know where to seal when everything dries out.

The next think is you have to stop testing your loads inside your warehouse...too many bullet holes in the roof. Laughing Laughing

Wish we had that moisture in my neck of the woods. They are starting to call this a 1 in 1000 year drought.

Last couple of days we finally got some decent snow. Might help a little. Last year a surprising number of our reservoirs went dry.

IMO they need to spend some major $$$ and come up with some innovations in tunneling. We need some water passages from areas of the country that flood, over to the arid parts suffering drought. If it were the same elevation, water would move freely, then you could just pump it up as needed.

Dallan,
That would require forethought and planning, something modern politicians are not good at, unless it for keeping their nose in the trough of public money.

Our srate government was finally pushed into action around 2006, major reservoirs down below 20%, major towns trucking water in.
In south east Queensland they spent 8 billion dollars and interconnected by pipeline all the reservoirs they had available and recommissioned a few retired one that still held water and connected Toowoomba an inland city to the water grid.
The also built a reverse osmosis desalination plant which they rarely switch on , because its usually broken due to wrong grades of stainless steel used in its rushed construction, but we have one.
So if our piss poor politicians can do this surely yours can , or is there a lobbying interest group behind the inaction.
This is the way our climate is going, droughts are getting longer and floods are getting further apart and deeper when they happen. We do need to prepare for this and improve the way we handle things like water and power. It takes political will and money.
I really need to work on my cynicism levels.

BTW, DARPA has a patent on a nuclear drilling technique... it projects a beam of energy so strong it vaporizes the rock... think about that if true, no material to haul out, you could just vent it to the atmosphere.

IF you've ever used a plasma cutter, it cuts right through rock... so its theoretically possible.

venting to the atmosphere will be a no go for the environmental left.

That boring machine that makes the tunnel walls from the melted (vaporized or plasma) rock isn't new tech. It has been around for a while. I remember seeing articles in my past.
