Life pressures have been keeping me from thinking about personal stuff (personal ain't the same as important...) but I'm still around & still shooting.
Just arrived back in the UK from 3½ weeks in the US & jet lagged to heck.
Mum's 3 months off 93, so you can all guess where my attention has been & I only had my first break in the US for 3 years thanks to my brother & sister taking up the slack.

I'll be back...

Glad you finally get a trip to the US and some recoil therapy. Get some more rest!

Good to see you’re back mate, and fingers crossed, Mum is well. I understand your concerns with Mum being 93…we have my 95 year old Mother-In-Law living with us and have similar concerns.

Off topic Vince. I have a question about the rar in Vietnam. What were the extensions on the back of the Ozzy 113s? Were they aux. Fuel tanks? Or external storage?. Got this question posed on a military forum. I thought of you first.

Gidday mate. The Australian M113 used in Vietnam, and in fact no Aussie M113 has exterior auxiliary fuel tanks. The only thing I can think of that may be confusing the issue on your other Forum is the Aussie M113 have a jerry can holder, usually for water, either side of the ramp, on the rear.

From my experience driving and Crew Commanding M113, no fuel jerries were ever carried on the outside of the vehicle.
