Widget has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She almost made it to 18 years old. Sure going to be quiet around here.

I’m really sorry to hear that mate…loosing a fur baby is still a loss of family. Hang in there, grieve for a bit, then get another mate.

Cute dog, love the name. Yea its amazing how we bond with those furry things. Its one of life's great injustices that they don't live as long as they should.

18 though... that's a very long time.

Im sure your wee buddy lived a full and satisfying life....they will all be waiting with tails wagging when we get to St Peters gate many years from now...

They say we'll survive every dog except the last one... and the strange thing is that it hurts more and more with every loss. We're always sure the last one was the best one, but somehow the next will try everything to become better. Is it because we learn more about dog-language or is it because somehow the dogs we lost still have a way to come and help to improve the relation with the next ones? I'm rather sure of 1 thing: a dogman always stays a dogman and a good dog always resemble its boss...
18 years... she will always stay in your memory and I cannot imagine Heaven without dogs, so maybe 1 day...

At 83 I have lost to many fur buddies from great dogs, cats and horses.
