Hello Dallan,
Just wondering what additional forums topics, if any, you might plan on expanding to. Best wishes.

I'm open to suggestions on what forums people want. I dislike unused forums however. Whats ironic is with very little advertising of the new site, we still have recieved 40991 hits as of today, and that number is from when I enabled this new software. 40991 hits within 1 month is pretty amazing.
Now if I could get each of those people hitting us to post 1 message every 10 visits or so we'd be rocking and rolling!
What I'd like to see: Elk hunting and Mule Deer hunting discussions, primative weapons sections, hunting Politics section (ie: discuss proposed laws etc etc).
I'd also like to see a "Stories" section where people can post great hunting and shooting stories. The Stories section however will probably become a different part of HuntingNut where its more like a online magazine format... I plan to write the interface for it soon as its currently #3 on my todo list here.
Todo list currently is #1 finish PointBlankOnline (tying in the graphical output to it now, it is computing data correctly in tablulated format), #2 re-write the Reloads Database perl script as I hate having anything with the prior forums "look". #3 Create the Articles and Stories section.
I welcome any forum topic proposals. In fact now that I think of it, I think I'll go create a primative weapons forum now as its distinct enough to not be covered under the existing topics.

I doubt we have enough members here yet, but I would love to see a Coues deer forum. That's my favorite Big Game to hunt.
Just out of curiosity how many of you have hunted Coues deer here in the SouthWest? The picture in my Avitar is my personal best Coues taken to date. He scores right at 100" pretty dang good for a Coues.

Get enough discussion going for Coues Deer and I'll gladly split it off into its own section.

Reloading can be a very interesting topic because much of it centers on the equipment and techniques used as well as the loads themselves. I don't know what percentage of our members are reloaders though. I've seen some great problem solving threads in reloading forums. We'll likely need more members to make that work. It's the same with gunsmithing threads. Anyway there's room for growth. Best wishes.

How about this:
I make forums per member suggestions. New Forums need to retain x amount of traffic per week (ie: 3 posts per week) for a month to become permenant. Also those with an interest in said subject can be a Moderator to help said forums get off the ground.
Also, a reloading section is definitely a good idea. While the site name is HuntingNut I reload and it fits nicely with PointBlank which has reloading info within it.

Howdy. I reload i think it would get a lot of posts. A lot of the posts on other topics refer to loads used.

Hello Gil Martin,
I share your feelings about military firearms. I've enjoyed your posts on various websites on this topic. Whether we're large enough to support such a forum is questionable, but it's sure worth a try. Best wishes.

Cal,
I am sure if these folks would set up a military surplus arms board, you and others would visit. I would agree to be a Moderator. All the best...

Loading data and input from users would be nice. I understand that there is some liability with loading data, but I believe the benefits out weigh the liabilities. Thanks for your time and for this site.

Thread moved to where more will see it.
I'm beginning the re-write of the old load database system right now, soon it will be available as a full fledged Modual compatable with this system. That makes it nice because I can set it to registered members only (more for security than to keep anyone out). It also means its traffic gets tracked correctly by the statistics tracker.
Its alot easier than the PointBlank port but will still take a week or so.
