Its the Paddington Tavern in Paddington Brisbane. Unfortunately the Trophy Room is exactly that...only one room and I think that it is in use only for functions. They have some bookcases, with books, in there, a couple of shotguns on the wall, some pictures, the two trophy heads around the fireplace, another goat trophy head, a heap of fishing lures, pics of fish and some old fishing rods. Apart from that, nothing else.

There are a couple of rustic old pubs in and around Brisbane. The Samford Hotel used to be really godd, but I think that they have reduced the "rustic" to only one bar now. I'm trying to think of more, but I rarely frequent pubs these days as I brew my own beer.

I used to go to a Doctor in Given Terrace,
I'm expecting my first Grandchild in June, so I will be up to visit my daughter in Feb and May/June
I don't drink so if the food is good and atmosphere inviting then i will have to give it a try.
Brekky Creek used to have a good steak.

Congratulations on your first Grandkid mate...and congratulations to the new Mum also of course. Know exactly how you feel...we have 6 Grandkids now and they are great....3 in Mt Isa and 3 just North of Brisbane.

The food at the Paddo is excellent, and generous, although a little pricey.

Can't fault the steaks at the Brekky Creek, and they still have XXXX off the wooden keg from memory. Only problem with the Brekky Creek these days is its a little difficult to get to it because of the Inner City Bypass.
