Roklok, the 35 rem. is very close to the 357 MAX in performance. It has more powder capacity and can push same bullets 100 to 200fps faster but.... it's a bottle neck case and does not have the load flexibility of the MAX, i.e. run 38s or 357 down the same barrel. Straightwall cases are easier to deal with. Hunting in NH I don't need the extra fps and my kids can shoot a variety of loads. Looks like it might not be practical based on some of the inputs here. I'll keep digging...thanks

NEF single shot 357mag and a quick trip to a gunsmith (or rent a reamer yourself).
