My grandfather on my mom's side has been battling cancer of the neck ,brain ,and face for a year and now he is tube fed and has a trach. Please pray for him - he's only 70. It's sad but he's a devout Christian and former pastor of our church.

It sounds like your grandfather has prepared the way for himself and others.

Here is a passage from my grandfathers favorite poem as he faced his final hours...

...So live, that when thy summons comes to join
The innumerable caravan which moves
To that mysterious realm where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged by his dungeon; but, sustain'd and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave,
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.

Whittling...I am sorry to hear that mate.

Knowing these older guys, I feel certain that he is fully prepared for whatever the future holds and is no doubt looking forward to meeting the Boss. As Dawgdad said...he preparing the way for others.

My prayers are with him and your family mate.

Cheers, Vince

Whittling,
I'm so sorry to hear that. No matter how deep the faith of our loved one or our own it is painful to see them suffer such a devastating illness.

I'll tell my wife and we will pray for for him, your family, and his church family.

God bless

Thanks... I still can't believe how sudden it is . Before this he was strong as a bull .. Even after 10 month of chemo he snuck out the house to cut wood in summer since he wouldn't let Grandma or my Aunts do it .

I'll pray more for the family than for the 70 year old gentleman. Where he is going as a MUCH, MUCH better place than where he came from - the family is stuck here - they need our prayers and the Lord's comforting Hand.
