Just traded for a 17Hmr and also own a mach 2.Just wondered if anyone had an idea on where I should zero my scope.Doubt I will do much shooting over 100 yds.

According to Hornady, the 17M2 zeroed at 100 yards (with 88 foot-pounds of energy) will be + .7" (122 foot-pounds) at 50 yards and -4.4" (64 foot-pounds) at 150 yards.

The 17 HMR zeroed at 100 yards (136 foot pounds) will be will be + .01" (185 foot-pounds) at 50 yards and -2.6" at 150 yards (99 foot pounds.)

Both assume a scope set 1.3" above the bore.

It looks like either could be reasonably zeroed for 100 yards and the only decision would be your comfort zone for longer ranges.
