No shortage of dingos mate...but I don't really know whether or not a dingo will take a cat. Only "critters" I know of that will eat a cat voluntarily are Asians.

Another problem we have is domestic dogs gone wild, and also mating with dingos...makes for a very nasty dog.

Cheers, Vince

I take it you are talking about possums...nah mate....Dad had one as a pet for a while...a red ringtail, but we were happy to eat underground mutton (rabbit) whenever we got them.

Cats make great tacos.....
use dogs for burritos.

Honestly I have never eaten feral cats or dogs. I gave a buddy of mine such a hard time about cats being tacos "on the hoof" that he finally named one of his cats "Taco". I guess he had the last laugh.

My solution to feral cats around here is a cage trap, a 22LR revolver, a shovel, a wheel barrel, a trip across the road to the river and kitty gets a burial at sea. You may also try a squirrel call to call them in.

Very Happy The proper antidote to feral cats beyond municipal boundaries is a 35 grain Berger with a hot load in a.22-250 Ackley Improved. At or over 5,000fps (so Berger tells me and is found on "Reloaders" site) this leaves little evidence - so little it can easily be brushed under some leaves by ones shoe. Trails of tuna fish 60 degrees from each other to a central point, like cutting a pie, will led them to the point at which you wish to dispatch them. "kitty kitty kittty-meow". Conservation agents here in Iowa have consistently (40 years of hunting) told me that foxes and feral cats are the worst predators of ground dwelling game birds - particularly the young and eggs. Cats, being able to climb, are hard on song birds too. An unconfined cat is a cat in need of medication. Please do your part to rid the countryside of these vermin.

Shocked HOLY Cow, or should I say Cats? I can't believe this old thread is still around...sort of like the Night of the Living Dead...it just won't stay down.

I guess it must have touched a nerve or three! A couple of other sites won't even allow the subject to be discussed. Cool

That may be true DKA, but my barn (feral) cat sure keeps the mouse and rat population under control around my place...
