I want to ask you guys from down under whether Mercurochrome (2 per cent Aqueous Merbromin Solution) is available in Australia? If it is how would one go about obtaining a couple of bottles?
Sad to say but it is no longer produced in the US.
I am almost out and would like to buy some.

Can't say I've seen Mercurochrome for some time...but then again I haven't been looking for it. I'll have a look around and see if it is still available.

There are a few products that I haven't seen for a while that are (were) really great...Mercurochrome, Gentian Violet, Metaphen...three great products that my parents swore by for cuts, scratches and the the little things that ailed ya.

These days it seems that Betadine has taken the place of all of these products.

Got them from a chemist next door.

I reckon nowadays there is more betadyne sold because to the anti bacterial composition.

Not sure if we can send any liquid products across the pond,
due to border security and all those fabs that happens lately.

I think you are right Gelan...I doubt that it would get it into the country because of the FDA restrictions on the product...it would be confiscated at the "border" by Customs.

Methiolate was another one that BURRRRNED!
