Thanks Dallan,
On the .260 Rem., I am in complete agreement with Parker Otto Ackley, who described this round as "efficient", "well-designed" and the ideal bore-to-powder-capacity ratio for .308Win-based wildcats, which it was in his day.
I would add "versatile" as well, since from 75gr up to 100gr it will match the .243, from 100gr to 120gr it will match the .257 Bob, and the .308 up to 160gr, while close enough behind the .270 to suit most...
Yet, I read opinions all over that it is waning in popularity, and may not survive much longer...I hope they're wrong!
Ed

I have too many favorites, but here are three of them.
NEF Handi-Rifle in 45-70.
Remington Model 700 Safari in 7mm Rem Mag.
Schmidt-Rubin 7.5X55 Swiss.

My most favorite rifles were an Ithaca LSA-55 in .22-250 with a sporter barrel (it could shoot half MOA all day with the right handloads), and a Remington M600 in .243, almost equally as accurate. I'd love to have those rifles again.
