Jeeez Pumpkin i'm gettin Baracktose intollerant, it makes as much sense as this quote;
On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.
Barack Obama
Does Obama see dead people?
Or this one;
I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left too.
Barack Obama
At US presidential campaign event in Beaverton, Oregon.

He will soon enough. People are starving, out of money, being relocated to area's w/ no oil to clean up when their backyard is covered in it.
Was watching CSPAN last night. Heart braking testimony. Truth is coming out about the "all that can be done that is humanly possible". Saw some pretty hard men breakdown. Telling stoires of being fed up with the lies and chain of command breakdown.
Some even loaded honey-dipper trucks on barges and were sucking up oil on their own while BP watched, then still did nothing. Stories and pics of brown pelican rookerie's being trampled while outside help, not locals, is playing egg toss with their eggs.
It was truly heart wrenching and I was welling up pretty good listening to the mayor of a parrish and a Louisanna president pour their hearts out to the committee. They know one thing for sure, when the 'cane's come BP and the CG pull up stakes and do even less.
Man, really truly sad how this is being handled and how literally nothing is being done about it and how many good ideas are just waiting to be applied but BP and Admiral Hardass wont let it happen.
My heart is sad for the "Sportsman's Paradise", and it's people.
Get well soon and hang in there guys.

And another thing!
We could send a man to the moon, 40 years ago, using slide rules and duct tape when things went wrong to get them back........
But, we can't stop an oil leak from one mile away? Houston, we have a problem.
WTF, OVER????

We have a method, explosives, its been done before. But the size of the leak and location, a real big bang will be needed based on what I've read, however the type of big bang that is politically unthinkable.

It's a stupid leak. Yeh, it's a mile away. So what.
Gotta be smarter than the tools or the problem.
If they REALLY wanted to stop it? It'd have been stopped by now.
Next time- have a contingency BEFORE the accident happens. How hard is that?

It is way, way worse than what you've been seeing on CSPAN, Stovey. I've been getting reports from friends who live on the Alabama coast. A couple are working as oil plume spotters, searching from aircraft over 100 miles offshore. They had to sign agreements not to take photos, and not to talk to anyone about what they have been finding.
Devastation out there. Near-total destruction.
These plumes will soon be into the Gulf Stream, and spreading up the coast as far as North Carolina (I wouldn't be surprised if a significant amount reaches Northern Europe).
Not much is being said about the number of species that breed and spawn in the Gulf and its estuaries. These are species from all over the Atlantic Ocean.
There is a lot more to this than scraping up some globs of oil off the beaches, and these idiots are having trouble dealing with just that part of the cleanup.
Our grandchildren, possibly great-grandchildren, will be suffering the effects of this mess.
AND ALL SO THAT SOME GREEDY M*THERF@(<@?S COULD MAKE A FEW EXTRA BUCKS THAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SPENDING ON MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY.
Greed and stupidity know no limits.
I've got to go puke now. Like Suz, "i'm gettin Baracktose intolerant"
Anybody for tarring and feathering BP exec's ???

Transocean is the one that f**ked up. They were the drilling contractor, and whether or not a BP Representative tried to over rule the Transocean engineers and crew, Transocean is responsible for committing the act.

There is a whole lot of people responsible for this cluster!!!! Every dang one of them should pay with there own personal funds. I cannot for the life of me what is taking so long to take ant kind of action. If the individuals in charge can do there job the should be removed and stripped of all benefits to include their retirements

Now that would really be something - to tie Argentina
But back to the subject. Today's report - death out there offshore, everywhere. Sharks, rays, billfish, turtles - rafts of carcasses.
But they're not allowed to tell anybody about it, or take any photos. (But "there is no cover-up")

Anyone watch the comittee meetings last night?
Not good. Total stonewall. Lawyers had Tony sterilized real good.
Yer right Marty. No one is allowed anywhere near that spot. Yet, reports are coming back from widlife rescuers of what you speak.
I can only hope to remain optomistic in the face of overwhelming evidence to the fact we are horribly boned.
Again- we can put a man on the moon, but....

Here's some more food for thought.
The MMS, under OBammy's hand picked administrators, rubber stamped this well- even after 760 BP safety violations over the past several years.
These guys are so in bed with the current admin it aint funny, but Barry back claims everything to Bush, as usual. BP has no business doing business. They are the worst offender EVER. Track record proves it. Only parties more culpable are the yahoo's in the MMS for enabiling them.
