My .270 Win performs like yours, Elvis. My 110gr, 130gr, and 150gr loads all group within 1.5 inches of the crosshairs at 250 yards.

Premium bullets aren't really necessary on deer size game. I'd use 130 grain Remington Core-Lokts if they shoot well in your rifle.

Swampman, I certainly wouldn't disagree with that statement, however, mmarti is wanting knock-down power out to 400+ yards. That's where I think the premium bullets may become a necessity as they provide lower ballistic coeficients and can carry their energy further down range with more reliable expansion.
