First off, wonderful sight.

I just bought a chronograph and I'm getting very meticulous about my reloading. My question is; If you where to make/buy the target shown in "Shot String Data" in PB, what would the scale be? For example, would each small square be .25 inch, .5 inch or something else. It seems like if the scale was known, it would make it alot easier to plot the x and y axis.

Hi John,
Your are right on the money with the first guess. The small squares are 1/4 inch and larger squares are one inch. Open your MS Paint software (Start>Programs>Accessories>MS Paint) you will find the target file (target.bmp) in the Point Blank Program files where they are installed on your computer. Open it and print it and it should be close to 1/4" squares. I found that if you use 'Card Stock', a heavier paper available at Walmart, you get cleaner holes in the target and easier to measure. I can't say that it is cheaper to print your own targets but it sure is handy if you are out of targets and need some for a range session.

Winchester and Remington used to have downloadable targets on their sites - I wonder if they are still there.

I use the target for putting holes in. I then measure the holes on the target. If it's for a hunting rifle I colour in a half inch block above the bullseye - where the bullets are supposed to land as dictated by point blank. I then shoot at the bullseye and the bullets land in the marked up area.

If I can do that then I am happy.
