...since I had my first shot of the Pfizer vaccine & despite dire warnings, I haven't grown any extra genitalia, heard Bill Gates' voice in my head, or developed an urge to become a socialist. Very Happy

Arm's a tad sore at the injection site & that's about it.

Roll on as many people as possible getting their shot & the world heading back to "normal", as the moment US restrictions on visitors are lifted, I'll be on my way.
Thinking about flying into OR, spending a few days with mates there before taking a week to drive across to northern AL & GA for a few days (via Cody, as I want to spend a day at the firearms museum & another visiting Yellowstone), then fly to Albuquerque & spend a couple of weeks with my mate.

Mum had the Astra Zeneca shot a month back & apart from feeling drowsy for a few days, she's fine too(well as fine as someone aged 91 can be...).

The most significant cause of the virus spreading has been people who are either stupid, ignorant or plain selfish, often all three together.
They've caused untold numbers of deaths when a slight & temporary change in behaviour would have helped prevent them. Mad

English Mike,
That being said, remember you wont have any significant protection until 21 days after the first shot.
So maintain the restrictions, mask ,distancing etc.
The Israelis had an increase in infections after the first round of shots due to people thinking they were good to go, not so, 3 weeks.
Im not expecting my jab until May?, not that we have a dire need for immediate innoculation atm here in oz. Still it will be nice to move back to whatever the new normal mode of travelling might be.
I wont be at all surprised if we will need to have a yearly tweeked vaccination for a few years to eradicate this bug.
Just in time for H5N8 flu to get a surge on. (Hope not).

Aye, there's plenty of eejits claiming that now we've given ONE dose of a two part vaccine to a third of the population, they should be allowed to run around like the ignorant muppets they clearly are.
Me?
I'll continue using extra precautions until the scientific evidence deems it no longer needed - social media & politicians aren't reliable sources of medical advice.
