Took the kids up this year to where I go moose hunting a week early to catch the small game season. Spent a week without technology and not even cell signal.

They are still too young to hunt themselves but they had a blast.

Used my CZ 455 in 22WMR, base of the neck with CCI's TMJ (Total Metal Jacket), very little to no wasted meat.

Outstanding mate…and it’s great to see that your kids are not disgusted with handling game you’ve harvested; that is fantastic.

Both my kids helped to dress the grouse when we get back to camp each day. They are used to it from fishing as they have been doing it for a couple of years now.

Grouse are the best game to start new hunters. They are patient enough to let a fumbling youngster get a gun up and make a shot.

Plus, they are super tasty! Congratulations on a fine outing.
