I live in Arizona around Apache Junction/ East Mesa area and have been interested in hunting coyotes for a couple years. I went out scouting this morning in an area I thought would be nice, but I didn't have any luck. I just had my first child and I can't venture out too far right now. If any one knows a descent area around where I live, I would greatly appreciate it.

kingzero: we have had reasonably good results near AJ. Go S toward Florence and take the Superior Hwy. Before Superior, look for roads heading S and start watching for sign.
If you follow the dirt road from Tortilla Flat toward Globe, look for dirt roads and trails on either side. I recommend getting at least a mile from pavement and I prefer getting at least a quarter mile from the vehicle before making a stand. But, first, of course, find the sign.
Good luck!

Florence is good. I also hear the area north of Superior is good all the way up to Globe and beyond.

Thanks, I just put in for the draw for spring Javalina. If I get the area I chose first (37B) it is just East of Florence and goes all the way up just south of Superior. I would be able to do some scouting and coyote hunting at the same time. Thanks for all your replies.
