Does anyone possess the knowledge as to who makes the brass for Lazzeroni cartridges and has anyone had bad experiences with the brass he sells? I have had some bad experiences with his brass, severe brass expansion, yet I am well within his load data charts and also well below his suggested maximum load limits. I have went as far as to try different primers and powder combinations other then what he suggests. I have even contacted him personally and he states that he has not recieved any negative reports of his brass other then mine. I did find some negative comments on his brass, but like a fool I did not save the info.

Any info that can be supplied to me will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site! I don't know if anyone around these parts shoots a Lazzeroni or not, I never read anybody mention them here.

I have a savage rifle that was a part of a lazzeroni/savage co-venture.

I have the patriot chambering. 30 cal short mag.

It will shoot brand new brass no porblem. However, the reloaded brass, which has been fired before will stick in the chamber if there has been enough rounds run to leave some fowling.

I went to great lengths to try to fix this issue. Talked with Lazzeroni. Talked with Savage. Talked with anyone that would listen. Got many suggestions and tried them all.

I think the chamber spec. is just a little off. If there is some fowling in the chamber the reloads will stick. I do not think it is the brass, I think it is the tolerance of the chamber.

So, it is a new brass gun when hunting. Performance is great and it is very light in weight.

Don't know if you have an actually Lazzeroni rifle or a savage or a sako produced firearm. Call Lazzeroni and ask him.

You reload for a Lazzeroni?? Why? The factory loads are faster and flatter than anything out there. I think the 308 Warbird is flatter than the 284 scramjet. You must really have a lot of time on ur hands.

Nemesis, most folks reload for accuracy, not just velocity. "Faster and flatter" never beats accurate.

Punkinslinger,
I know, reloaded for 30 years, just think its not needed as much to get results, due to components available in todays factory loads, ie. nosler partition, bear claw, seirra, hornady, barnes, etc.
But my point about the Lazz. is brass must be scarce. Also, many guys try to get more velocity than factory loads, if there is a ctrdg. that owns velocity its the Lazz's.
