Howdy Folks;
I've been hiding in the pucker brush reading your posts, seems like a nice bunch of people here, so decided to join.
I've always had a soft spot for Hodgdon powders, and still use a lot of it. But have gone to Ramshot powders for the bulk of my shooting now. It's about $4.00 cheaper per # and gives me top drawer accuracy and velocity in all of my rifles and hand guns. It's made in Belgium and packaged in Miles City, Montana. My only gripe is that they don't put out a load book and have dropped some loads, like the .45ACP from their Enforcer line of powder from the flier they put out, etc.. It'd be nice if they were consistent!
Anyway I was wondering if any of you use this brand of powder and if you like it or not?......Thanks!!........Gene

Hi Vince;
I've burned my share of Varget in .308, 358, 7mm08 and .243 as well as the 45/70. I'm a .308 case nut, I believe if it's built on or around the .308 case it has to be good! LOL!!! I've been checking out that .338 Federal too, as I need to repalce my ol .358 I sold awhile back. Seems every time I sell a gun I'm sorry for it later .
Those extreme powders are my favorits it this area. I've seen it snow here in July and be 105*F a few days later and -30*F in the winter isen't all that uncomon either.
I'm gettin a little old to drag up a stump "gettin feable in my old age" maybe I could just crank up my chain saw, cut a round and roll it over near your stump!? And thanks for the Fosters! That's darn good beer!!
Gene

Mate...you are welcome to put whatever you like down to sit on...so long as you are comfortable and can enjoy a beer or 3 thats all that matters mate. You are never too old to relax and enjoy good company, which we have an abundance of on this Forum.
I know what you mean about the .308 case...has to be about the best calibre and parent case for many other excellent calibres. My favourite is my .243 Weatherby Vanguard, again another great calibre built on the .308 case.
Varget, or AR2208 as we know it, is about the most versatile powder I have encountered. I'm sorry I can't help you with advice on the Ramshot powders though.
Ptssshhhhhh...ah, the sound of another Fosters being cracked.
Cheers, Vince
