A few weeks ago I got a portable bench rest which is now set up in my den. A bullet trap is set up in the storage room 10 meters -33 ft from the bench. It has ben to darn cold and windy to try out a Sheridan 20 Cal pump up pellet rifle I got at a few days befor Christmas. But now I can get all the trigger time I wont. But my old bird dog at times looks at me , then at the target ,pore old dog dosent have any thing to fetch.

bracer, nice set-up. Better make sure that bullet trap is large enough to catch any stray pellets so you don't have to dig them out of the sheetrock.

Slimjim. I measure the outside edge of the five shot group then deduct the diameter of the pellet. I have tryed out six different pellets in the Beeman 1000 22 and three different pellets in the Blue Streak 20 Cal. My smallest group was .15 and the largest where I pulled one was 1.6 inch but most groups were under 0.60 inch. I use 1/2 inch dots on typeing paper for my targets. My next test will be using a variety of pellets in the Beeman R-1 .177 pellet rifle. The bullet trap is 9X15 inch so I may just get by with it. Elvis, today the dog sat by me and would beg for some petting after I had fired five rounds. You got me, what is a dickybirds ? If I were 40 years younger Id like to go hunting in your country.

You should go anyway. You will never be younger than you are today! Sounds like you have a great set-up and are having loads of fun!

sparrows and such like. pesky garden digging blackbirds are good too starlings taste too oily but a good dog will get them too. Its real funny when the family cat gets in on the act aswell.
