I got a Ruger Scout rifle last year and, after somewhat limited shooting, have been pleased. I'm still waiting to put a proper scout scope on it but have played with a 1X extended eye relief scope and like the way the gun handles with it. I discovered quickly that I need a bit more magnification to be comfortable at 100 yards or more so I plan to put a Burris 2.75X Scout scope on the rifle when money allows. I may stick a conventional scope on it temporarily for load development. I've picked up a couple spare 10 round polymer mags and will get a 3 or 5 round mag to use for hunting.

you just have to love those plywood stocks Very Happy
yes I know its not PC to call them that but laminated is hard to spell Very Happy
that is a great looking rifle and with 1x I guess it would be great for snap shooting in the thick stuff.
are those open sights I spy??? maybe an aperture at the rear above the bolt??? man THAT would really squeal my wheels Surprised

Pkslinger, I have a 2.5x Leupold Scout on one of my rifles and love it. Very light so it doesn't upset the balance of the rifle and clear optics. Sweet Rifle!
