I've been doing a little selling/trading/buying and ...
T/C Encore with a .22 Hornet barrel. It will get scoped at some point and I plan to get a "deer cartridge" barrel for it in the future. Right now I'm thinking a 7mm-08 or a 7 x 57mm.
And then there's this one. Ruger SR1911.
Now I just wish I could buy some time to shoot them like I want to!

The Encore will stay a handgun. It has a 15" barrel on it. In the US all rifles must have a 16" or longer barrel, unless you want to jump through the hoops and pay the extra tax for a "Short Barreled Rifle" (SBR) permit. Besides, I have a Ruger 77/.22 Hornet already! I also have another Encore that will stay a rifle, with a .223 barrel.

I am envious you are able to hunt with a handgun. Nice pieces. I have been toying with getting a 1911 in target configuration but am waiting for thr dust to settle on my last purchase. BTW I think I would recognize that tree as long as it had a rifle ot gun up agaist i:-)

After an 8 month wait I finally have my 6.5 Grendel barrel and bolt! Still waiting on the stripped upper and lower so I can get my new build underway. Looking back through the posts I have realized I still haven't posted pics of my 5.56 AR build. I will get on that ASAP. It turned out very nice. It sure likes 55gr Varmageddons Several times I have had 3 shots in one large hole an 100 yards.

Looking for some thoughts on my next rifle. I have narrowed it down in caliber to 257 Roberts, 260 Remington or 6mm Norma. I am leaning toward the 260 as it is pretty versitile with the 140 grain bullet reaching moose killing energy levels. So any suggextions, experience with rifles in these calibers would be gratefully received. BTW I also looked at the 25-06 as a purely paper puncher.

Today I was making a small list of things in my gun safe..
Would you believe I got 19 separate calibers for my guns?
some of them calibers are in more than one pistols or rifles!!
No wonder SWMBO do not let me to get another one.

some have only a few fire-arms, but many wifes.
Some have many guns, but are satisfied with only 1 wife...
It's not so difficult to calculate the price-difference...
and I really think the man with many guns is the happiest.

Aloys, gelandangan, we may have to come up with a new saying to replace "beware of a man who only has one gun, he likely knows how to use it"
trying to develop news but need some help
"beware of a man who only has one wife, ..."
"beware of a man who has many wifes, ..."

beware of a man who only has one wife,
he could have many guns...
beware of a man who has many wifes,
he might know how to use his gun...
