After I saw this video I seriously consider buying that Blaser. Damn fast for a single bolt action.

yes he does well..BUT at the ranges shown you could easily do the same with a SMLE fitted with low power scope and shooting off your knees.
have an add up of the $ that fella is using to achieve what he is doing....
heck Bushy would do the same with his ol "jackhandle"

Right on Elvis. The Blazer rifles are sweet to shoot though and I wouldn't mind having one but not in 9.3mm (.36cal). That would be great for africian game or BIG North American game ie Brown or polar bear. It sure anchors those hogs doesn't it.

Very nice rifle, I did not realize that the trigger is attached to the magazine.

I love straight pull bolts, they make sense for speed. I have a Swiss K-31 straight pull and other than the rifle being heavy as heck (about 9lbs with ammo) the thing is sweet to shoot. I just watched the video on the R8 rifle from the Blaser web sight, it sure has some features to get used to. Looks like fun to shoot.

Grea hunting, great rifle, great shooting, great hogs...and niiiice deer, good calibre, bloody expensive shooting though.

I had a play with a straight pull in a gun shop one day and it just didn't feel "right" to me. No arguments about the speed of reloading though...damn quick. You are right about the trigger Gelan, that is an interesting setup with the mag and trigger combined.
