C'mon! That isn't even nice. I can feel my arteries hardening just looking at the picture.... To hell with the doctor! I'm buying strip bacon ... and I'm gonna throw out the gluten free cardboard (I mean bread) for this one. You have to die of something - right?

Way ta go guys...I feel the same, but a man just has to have bacon in his diet, and all the better to team it up with other yummy things.

Guys. I have a dilemma. How can I cook up one (or maybe two), of these holy grail of cheese sammiches without Yes Dear gettin' all riled up? She knows what the doctor said about the cholesterol and diet and eatin' rabbit food. And well - she just knows. You older attached guys know what I mean - they know. To my way of thinking the reason them bunnies are so small is because of the food they eat. Give them a couple of these holy grails and watch 'em grow. I read the fart story here tonight and wondered if I could somehow set up a diversion......

Hello Mr. Bushmaster.

atorvastatine... 1 tablet a day keeps cholesterol away.

And when you don't want to take tablets, try walnuts, they bring the good cholesterol in your body.

I tried Crestor (something like that) with disturbing side effects. Never heard of the walnut thing - don't like the taste of them but maybe there is something to that. I like pecans, almonds, cashews - any of them work? Stopped taking the pills because of the side effects. Tried altering my diet a bit all I have to work on now is getting more exercise. Seems that at the end of the day energy is lacking (ok - motivation too) to hop on the elliptical.

side effects? Muscular spasm? Extra Mg could help... Or maybe your dosage was too high? Try with 1/2 pill, that's cheaper than ordering smaller pills...

Another side effect: it's proven when you take cholesterolpills, you live longer. And that's a side effect you're supposed to like.

Maybe when you don't eat bacon, you also live longer, but my choise is the bacon and the pill to make things even again. In these modern times one has to keep an eye on prevention Smile

BTW: there are recipes to make a good porto with red wine and walnuts, but I don't know that in such form the walnuts still have their good influence on cholesterol... most good medicins don't have a good taste...

Well that may be the winner right there! I must confess though - haven't the foggiest what porto is (portobella mushrooms?). But, red wine is known to have medicinal properties and I've just learned that walnuts do too. How can you lose? A good hearty red should cover the bitterness of the walnuts and if not, well after a few helpings it won't matter anyway. Very Happy

The most concerning of my side effects was vertigo. Sudden, unexplained and debilitating dizziness. Can't drive a truck if the world is spinning. I felt like I lived in Toronto. You know - the whole world revolved around me.
