This year they started allowing all bow hunters to use a crossbow and opened Sunday hunting on private land as well as state WMA.

You need to take a hunter ed class for archery here in NJ as well as the other courses for general hunter safety, shotgun & mussel loaders. They're self study with a dvd & a manual with review questions. Then one evening go for a review, any qualifying shots, then a multiple choice test. Took mine for archery this evening.

Vince, is that for all Australia or is like here in the states where each state has it's own reg's? I saw a show where they hunted hogs with xbows that I thought was done in Australia.

Sorry I missed this one mate...I've been away for a few days at a funeral for a mates son. I'm so sick of attending funerals for young people.

The Firearms Laws out here in Australia are pretty much the same for every State, with some minor variations. The draconian laws we now suffer were forced upon us by the Federal Government.

Real sorry to hear about your friend's son. Can't think of anything much worse than to bury your child. I'll pray for them.

Thanks buddy.

This young guy did a tour of Iraq, came home, then did a tour of Afghanistan, came home...went on a training exercise and was killed in an APC rollover. Four years as an Infantry soldier...then gone...what a waste.

Cheers, Vince

It's tough no matter when or where it happens, but at "home" after tours in 2 war zones--- man. Leaves me speechless.
