Checking in here onna remote unit...been here for a week in the Swan range etc. Did some vermin hunting with an open sight Daisy Powerline 35, .177cal smooth bore dual ammo multi-pump (625 f.p.sec.@ 10 pumps) I got out here when I arrived. Pretty accurate from a side-tree rest getting 2-2.5 " groups on paper at well over 10 meters w / BB, Gammo 7.56gr spire and a Crosman 7.9gr fat-head hollow point pellet ammo (pics soon of same). Tree squirrels here are a wicked challenge in the super tight stuff in the ravines etc. I got bugged out a few times and nailed hard by no-seeums so I'm kinda scabbed up in spots. I got eaten up prety badly, forgot my bug dope day 1. Mad
Could not find kills as they fell in some really tight stuff but they dropped like stones with the fat hollow point pellets. I mean they flat fell like a brick, not a wiggle when I connected. Most were clean misses, poor eyesight and a lawyer trigger. But them fat head hollow-points hit freakin' HARD. Razz

Also did some stalking in my mocassins in the front yard with my cell phone, actually did all my hunting in my mocassisns, super quiet stuff and great for climbing. Here's some cell pics from the last few days. Lotsa wild turkey and white tail just poking around feeding and such. Hope you all is well...talk atcha when I get back. Thankfully no bears to report. Things have kinda mellowed out in the area, for now....

Good life in Montana w/ a samich and some Moose Drool after a walk-a-bout , Swan Range:

Mom says I'm too close...

Don't know what all the fuss is about w/ scent lock, cammo and stuff...all ya need is a bit of pizza, a hammer and to stand still...deer is freakin' dumb! Razz

Wish quail was this easy! Laughing

Take care guys (and Suzy),

-kevin.

Ya'll sure got "beer finicky" all of a sudden.... Laughing
Granted, Drool aint the greatest, but it was FREE! Razz

Here's some shots from my accuracy tests with that Dasiy air gun, not bad at all for a smooth bore with a super heavy attourney trigger. These were done standing and resting the side of the forearm against a tree. Them fat-head hollow points were crushers @ 7 pumps and WAY over 10 meters. @ 10 pumps all ammo went all over the map due to lack of rifling I assume. OK_ gotta go get ready and catch a plane...I had a freakin' blast up here and wish you all were in on it. TTYL gang. (edit- max velocity should be 625 f.p.s, not 650, sorry)

This post should be called "Escape from CA"

I don't think you'll ever see a whitetail around here come up to you like that. Maybe they just don't like pizza?

I see the trend.

Target #1 - One beer. Not to bad.
Target #2 - Two beers and still holding your own.
Target #3 - Three beers and you loose count as to how many times you pumped the gun!

From the looks of that first picture your enjoying it way more than you should !!! wtf Crappy beer or not I'm jealous !!!

What would really suck is someone reminding you of the real world back home !!! It would kinda be like bursting that big ole bubble your living in at the moment !!! Sad
I really hate it when someone does stuff like that.........no common decency what so ever !!! So you just sit back and enjoy yourself......if anyone tries hi-jacking this thread with any such non-sense of the political realm I'll take care of it for you......
I got your back, you just eat, drink and be merry. Cheers
No Cali bull is gonna ruin your vacation as far as I'm concerned.
