Hey Joe does this fellow do restorations? I have an old trophy mount that my dad shot in 1947 thats looking pretty rough, Dont want to throw away.

Howdy Crackshot My taxidermist said he would have to see the mount to see if it could be restored. He also said they can be tough to do sometimes, not noing the process the original taxidermist used, he said sometimes the best thing to do is have it remounted with a diferen't hide useing the original antlers.

No problem buddy. You could do what my guy said shoot a deer use the antlers off your dad's mount, use your hide and have a trophy you both took part in. That throphy would be hard to beat Very Happy .

I have two tanned hides here now that my Kids used to lay on while watching TV, so I dont "probably" have to shoot another deer, But yes that would be a great trophy. Thanks for the idea.

Most taxidermist's have access to an extra head to skin out and mount your antlers on. Most any taxidermist that also cut's and wraps your deer can do the job for you.
