Beer, BEER....did somebody say beer ?!?!? I think its time I checked my home brew. Got 23 litres of lager callin' me to see if its ready to drink.

Too bloody hot to go hunting here at the moment, and the little black bush flies will pick ya up and carry you away.....that is if the mosquitos don't suck you dry of blood first. No self respecting critter is out and about anyway....they are all resting in the shade of a tree.

Cheers, Vince

You sure dont want to slip up and trespass on a water buffalo's shady spot! Very Happy

Skeeters, I thought they were big here in Georgia, but back in 95 I laughed at a trap I saw for sale in a store in Alaska. Looked like a miniture bear trap except it was for mosquitos. I stopped laughing when I met my first Alaskan Skeeter. Only thing more vicious is a vampire bat. Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Home made beer, what a good idea! Do you have a recipe that you would share with us? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

In Oregon we have two sizes of mosquitos...Those that can fly through the screen of a screen door and those that tear down that screen door...

Water buffalos.....oh I stay away from them critters. Luckily there aren't any where I hunt. They ain't scared of nuthin'!

Now onto important things....beer. We have a company here in Australia called Coopers. They make a home brew kit that takes all of the guess work out of making home brew. The beer is only 4.6% - 4.9% in strength, but that is ok. Cheers Very Happy

Coopers Brewery

Don't know if they export the kits to the USA, but it would be worth checking it out.

Here's more...from the USA

Austin Home Brew

Skotrat's Home Brewing Site

Anyway, I am getting off topic. Off Topic

Never used a blind for hunting...just select my ground carefully for cover and concealment....and of course make sure the wind is coming from the right direction.

Tried home brew and almost puked, I'll stick with my uncles moonshine or a cold Bubwieser. I'll try another home brew some time maybe, the guy doing it better know more than this last fellow did, I have drank alot of beer, from all over the world, but this home brew was BAD.

Very Happy Who said you had to freeze your butt off to be called a hunter?
I hunt the UP in Michigan, sometimes I still hunt and on them colder days I might sit in a pop up with my buddy heater.. Although this year I hunted from my climber most of the time, wtf

Gidday glockman, I'm not familiar with a buddy heater. Confused
Can you please explain to what this "tool" is? Sounds like it would be a "must have" when hunting in the snow.
