I ordered a Weaver 1-3x20 Classic V this morning. One of the guys at the carbine match had one on his gun. 1x was perfectly matched with the world around me. Price was much less than all the others so will just start using it and worry about whether I need a better reticle later.

Oh, many of the guys shoot 3-gun and said they have no issues with smoothbore shotguns and foster slugs hitting targets out to 100 yards.

I bet any deer at 100yrds would have an issue with them.
