I bought one and returned it after the first time I tried it. Crying or Very sad It was slooooooooooooooooooooow. A 77.5 grain charge of RL-22 took over 70 seconds. I can set my powder measure a half grain under and hand trickle faster than that. Plus you have to caliabrate the scale each time and calibrate the dispenser each time.

Unless you have a lot of time on your hands, I would not recommend.

It did seem consistent though.

I set my cheapo powder measure .5 grains under then use my Midway Power Trickler to bring it up to the correct weight Smile

Probably why it's in the bargain cave Wink I don't have a digital scale, but was thinking of getting one. I borrowed one from my cousin (an RCBS) to weigh a bunch of bullets and cases, and it worked okay. I had a bit of trouble getting a consistent weight, though. I would wait for the flashing to stop and record the weight, and then re-weigh after a bit and sometimes the weight would be different by a couples of tenths. I'm not sure I would want to trust it for weighing my powder charges. What does everyone else use?

Howdy Blaine. Mine gets funny sometimes to, when i am trickiling (is that a word) it seems like i add a half grain before the scale will respond and then when it does i added to much. I bin thinking about goin back to the rcbs 505 it only happens when i am adding. If i put a bullet on it or a check weight it works fine Confused . My digital scale is a cabelas i don't no if rcbs scales do the same thing or not.

Joe,

I just loaded some rounds today and I weighed each charge on my RCBS 505. As a test, I then dumped the charges over to the RCBS digital to see if they would agree. I was very disappointed. The digital would agree about half the time and the other half it was a tenth or so different (sometimes over sometimes under). I was doing batches of 5 rounds of each load, and I checked the zero on my 505 after every 5 rounds. It was always just the same. There were even times when I would dump the powder back onto my 505 (after a discrepancy) and it would still be the same. Then I would dump it back onto the digital, and it would be different again and not necessarily the same as it was before. It made up my mind that if I buy a digital it will have to be a better one than the one I borrowed. Even then, I will still weigh each powder charge on my 505. The digital will be used only for bullets and cases. (or am I just missing something here?

Blaine

PS Have a good weekend !! Laughing
