Didn't vote! Should have said which one don't ya use ;-) I don't use Remington.
As for a good test, one was done over at accuratereloading.com as to which were warmer, consistant, etc. You might have to ask for the article by email.

I shoot a lot of shotgun sports, sporting clays being the majority of the shooting. I have found the data on which 209 primer is the hottest to the coolest.

In all the reading I have done on rifle primers, with the exception of magnum primers, the consensus is that most all rifle primers are just about the same.

I use Winchester normally because I can buy them cheaper than any other and reloading is supposed to be for saving money (yeah right!).

Couldn't figure out how to vote on them on the first post though!

For whatever reason I could not vote, but I have been using CCI 200 primers in almost everything for many many years. I do use some magnum primers in non magnum cartridges and they are winchester. I have not found that the CCI primers gave as much of a velocity spread as someone posted previously. I have had a bad experience with Remington primers though. A carton of 1000 I purchased seemed to be to loose in my 25-06. I thought my once fired brass was NFG and after much frustration I tried a diff primer and I found the problem. The rem primers where duds and I have never bought one since. I'll stay with CCI's. Thanks

CCI and Winchester Both in magnum and standard. Use them to give that little extra or to take away that little extra oomph...Mainly to adjust max/min velocity and presure.

All primers are not created equal. In my load development, I tested (over a chrony) 5 different primers under exactly the same loads. I did this for my 308 and 243 Encore Handgun barrels. As an example, The following is for my 308. 165 gr Rem PSPCL, over 46.0 grs of IMR4350, 5 shot groups:

CCI BR..........SD=6.40......grp=.60"
Fed GM..........SD=4.00......grp=.85"
Rem 9 1/2.....SD=11.74.....grp=1.25
Winch WLR.....SD=3.31......grp=.55"
Fed GM (mag)..SD=26.17...grp=1.50" (I tried the mag's just for grins)
