They are probably pulled from the M61 Armour Pericing rounds that are made in 7.62x51mm NATO or the 308Win. Smile

Here is the Military's data sheet on these rounds for your knowlage since you asked.

Also note in the 7.62x51mm NATO or the 308Win Catagory you also have the M993 Armour Percing Rounds (newer) ment to be fired from the M24 Sniper System and to be used in M60 and M240 Machine guns mixed in with tracers.

As well as the M2 Armour percing round that was ment for the M1 Garand which is also 30 caliber. Smile

I thought the core of armor piecing ammo was Tungsten.

PaulS,

I do belive the newer Armour Percing rounds are tungston, the older ones (like this one) are steel as far as I know. Smile

I actually got a hold of the guy and he says he's got APs, and tracers , as well as others

I am curious on the laws of owning certain bullets , loaded or not , as for me personally , I probably wouldn't load any unique bullets for possible cost reasons , and if I did it would be on the day I use them , other than that it'd be stored away like most of my collective stuff
