White House has announced a change of plans for President Obama’s assault weapons ban.

I wouldn't start celebrating yet, nor would I stop writing to your reps, but this does sound pretty good.

At this point it's called wait and see-hide and watch!We can see if another "engineered "sandyhook"emerges between now and the end of january,or february.I would'nt trust that bunch with an anvil-somehow they'd find a way to "f"it up! wtf

Mo comment specifically quoting the White House from the MSM yet but more than a few from other sources saying Obama doesn't have the support to get a new AWB.
What worries me is the backroom deal that has been made for it to go away, as there's still registration, magazine limits, mandatory NICS checks & ammunition limits on the table.

If it's true I'll pop the cork on the champagne, but I'll hold off for now. I'm certainly not letting up on my reps. All the congressman and senators that announced they would support an AWB may have shot themselves in the foot at the midterm elections for naught. Serve them right! Companies like Dick's and Cheaper Than Dirt that both folded like a cheap camera may have cried uncle too soon. Hopefully no one here spent $3000 for an $800 AR this week!
